Report: Cuban struck in face by object

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said he was hit in the face with an object during Game 3 of the Mavs' first-round playoff series against the Portland Trail Blazers, reports The Dallas Morning News.

“Somebody hit me in the face,’’ said Cuban after the game, according to the report. “Somebody threw something and it hit me.’’

The incident is said to have occurred with 6:56 left in the game during a timeout while Cuban was interacting with some Blazer fans.

Cuban was not hurt.

The Mavericks lost 97-92.

Game 4 is set for Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.
