Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Terry became ill at practice Monday and was taken from American Airlines Center in an ambulance, according to Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News.
Sefko wrote that a source called the situation “a scare” and added that Terry was moved to his home where he was reportedly “resting comfortably.” The veteran player apparently wasn’t feeling well before the afternoon practice began.
Terry, who played in the first half of Sunday night’s preseason home loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, will not travel with the Mavericks for their Tuesday night game at Oklahoma City.
The Mavericks open the season Sunday afternoon against the Miami Heat.
